Amy Wagner Cincinnati FOX19 anchor and reporter at WXIX - Cincinnati News, FOX19-WXIX TV

Amy Wagner

How many people can honestly say they have their dream job?  I can!  Not only do I get to anchor your news every weekend and report on important stories that matter to you, I get to do it in my hometown!

Being a journalist is something I decided I wanted to do when I was a fifth grader.  Not that I got here overnight.  My first job landed me at WBKO in Bowling Green, Kentucky as an anchor.  Bowling Green will always hold a soft spot in my heart—it's where I met my husband!

From there, I moved to Louisville as a reporter for WLKY.  After a few years there, I received a call from a station here in Cincinnati to "come home" where I was a reporter for almost a decade.

Along the way, my husband, David, and I have also been blessed with two of the sweetest children on the planet (Proud mom here!).  Grace is a second grader and Trey is in preschool.

This career has given me so many amazing experiences, it's hard to keep track of them!  I have covered a hurricane in Florida.  I was at the Statehouse in Columbus in 2004 in the very room where the Presidential Election was called in Ohio.  I have met famous musicians, politicians and actors.  But, by far the best experience has been meeting the people of Greater Cincinnati who make this such a great place to live.

And that's what brings me back to my dream job.  To be trusted to deliver your news in my hometown is an honor I don't take lightly.  I promise to deliver balanced coverage of stories that will make a difference in your life.  Got a story idea for me or just want to say hello?  Please don't hesitate to drop me an email.
