2 taken to hospital after crash in Whitewater Township

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash Wednesday evening in Whitewater Township.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. in the 8400 block of Brooks Road.

Police say Dodge Magnum operated by Charles Smith, 21, of Harrison, was traveling eastbound on Brooks Road when he cross the double yellow line while negotiating a curve and struck a Ford F-150 operated by Dale Barth, 63, of Harrison.

Barth was trapped in his vehicle and extricated by the city of Harrison Fire Department. He was taken to Harrison PAC Center in good condition.

Smith was also taken to the Harrison PAC center, where he was treated and released.

Smith was cited for traveling left of center. Both men were wearing their seatbelts.
