2 men indicted on heroin charges in Kenton Co.

KENTON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - Two men were formally charged Thursday in Kenton County for felony drug possession, among other various charges.

Jason Wheeler, 24, of Livingston, KY, and David Stewart, 24, of Crab Orchard, KY, were arrested by authorities on June 20 by Covington Police.

On Thursday, both were indicted by the Kenton County Grand Jury for first degree possession of heroin, in addition to a persistent felony offender charge from previous convictions.

According to court documents, Wheeler had custody of a child during the alleged crimes back in June. As a result, he faces child endangering and first degree wanton endangerment, a felony based on a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person.

Stewart was also charged with tampering with evidence.

They are being held in the Kenton County Jail. Both  Both are being held on a $2,500 bond.
