Ten Now Dead in Apartment Fire

Ten people are now dead in a suspicious fire near Columbus, Ohio overnight. The last two victims were discovered as firefighters went through the ruins of a third -floor apartment in Prairie Township. Firefighters say residents jumped from third-story windows to escape the blaze.

The fire chief says the fire came six weeks after three fires were set in the same building in an empty apartment and hallway. The chief says all eight victims lived in the same third-floor unit. He says they didn't die in their sleep -- meaning they were trying to escape when they died. There are conflicting reports on how many people were in the apartment.

Antonio Noriega says firefighters pulled him from a ladder as he tried to rescue his brother, sister-in-law and nephews. He says eight relatives and two friends lived in the apartment and he doesn't think anyone got out alive.
