Big turnout expected for Macy's Music Festival 2013

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Organizers for the Macy's Music Festival say they are expecting a big turnout this year.

The festival, originally called The Ohio Valley Jazz Festival when it began in 1962, is now a two-day event on Cincinnati's riverfront featuring a variety of artists and musical genres.

Organizers say 50,000 visitors attended over a two-day period in 2012, and this year they are expecting between 70,000-75,000 people at Macy's Music Festival 2013.

The event take place on July 26 and 27 at Paul Brown Stadium. Each night's show will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The lineup for this year's 2013 Macy's Music Festival includes:

  • TGT - Featuring Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank
  • Bootsy Collins

Saturday

  • R. Kelly
  • Kem
  • Fantasia
  • Morris Day and the Time
  • Leela James

Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

This is the 51st year for the festival.
