Angela Steinfurth, the mother of missing 1-year-old Elaina Steinfurth, was briefly back in front of a judge Wednesday, only to have her next court date set for Aug. 14.
Steinfurth is charged with obstruction of justice in connection to the disappearance of her daughter.
The family of missing Elaina packed the courtroom as Steinfurth faced the judge. Members were told by victim's advocates that more postponements could come as the police and prosecution continue gathering evidence.
The family says they are pleased to know that the fight to get justice and find baby Elaina safe and alive continue.
"That's been my hope since day one. It's hard, after this long of a time, to get a good outcome. But they still do happen, and hopefully this will be one of those times when it will still happen," said Terry Steinfurth, Elaina's grandpa.
Another vigil will be held Wednesday night on Federal and Leonard at 7 p.m.
In her last courtroom appearance, Steinfurth's attorney asked the judge to grant her supervision instead of going back to jail. That request was denied.
Steinfurth has been held at the Lucas County Jail on $100,000 bond since June.
