Today is the deadline for write-in candidates to challenge the Hamilton County prosecutor accused of sexually harassing an employee with whom he had a four-year affair. Republican leaders say they can't force Mike Allen not to run, and he says he has no plans to step aside. Allen's name will be the only one on the November ballot since the Democrats didn't field a candidate. So far, Cincinnati lawyer James Rueger is the only write-in candidate. Rueger is a Republican. Allen has admitted having an affair with a female employee but says it was consensual. The woman contends Allen coerced her into the relationship. The allegations prompted Allen to step down as regional chairman for President Bush's re-election campaign.
