Week 3 brings more demolition to FOX19

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

As the third week of our newsroom renovation project comes to a close, engineers, contractors and electricians are working diligently to get our new control room up and running.

The new control room is something we've been looking forward to for a while.

It will include our new audio board and will bring some people in the room, like the TelePrompTer operator, who have previously not had a real home.

We debuted the new control room at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Producers say the ride was a little bumpy but we are getting the kinks worked out.

Demolition really ramped up in the old space this week, with walls being ripped down everywhere. Our chief engineer says we can look for the room to really open up once the control room moves.

Check out this Vine of the demolition that Jessica Brown tweeted - https://vine.co/v/h7r23YKHpI6

Also, our morning show guests will be excited to know that our new green room is really taking shape. Don't worry, it will be green.

The goal next week is to get the sheet rock up on our extended wall in the studio. Contractors will be framing our new bathrooms. That meant we had to give up our break room but it will be back soon enough.

Thank you so much for following our renovation online and on-air. I will be back next week with more information!

Standing alongside Putin, Trump steered clear of any confrontation with the Russian, going so far as to question American intelligence and last week's federal indictments that accused 12 Russians of hacking into Democratic email accounts to hurt Hillary Clinton in 2016.
