LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A $300 million development in Liberty Township was approved Thursday by the Butler County Commissioners and Liberty Township Trustees.
During a joint meeting, officials approved a Master Development Agreement for Liberty Center, a mixed-use development to be located at the I-75 and SR 129 interchange.
According to Liberty Township's website, the agreement provides the framework to fund Liberty Center, which is being developed by Steiner + Associates and Bucksbaum Retail Properties.
Developers say the first phase of the project will include approximately 1.1 million square feet of retail, dining and entertainment options, including 75,000 square feet of Class A Office, 190,000 square feet of upscale residential, a 67,000 square-foot cinema and a 150-key hotel.
"This is a project that has been years in the making and I want to thank the County and the Township for their diligence and commitment to the project," said Steiner + Associates founder and CEO Yaromir Steiner. "This area calls for a world-class development and with the County and Township we are prepared to develop our best project yet."
Liberty Center is set to open in 2015.
