OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

The first annual Taste of OTR will be held before summer's end.

Tender Mercies is hosting the event, scheduled for August 10 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. in Washington Park. This new tradition will celebrate the tastes, flavors and sounds of Over-the-Rhine.

Organizers say they hope to showcase the elements of OTR that make it the cultural center of Cincinnati, not limited to food but also art, music, shopping and the people.

Food and drink vendors include: The Anchor-otr, Eli's BBQ, Coffee Emporium, Findlay Market, Dojo Gelato, The Lackman, Lavomatic, MOTR, Taste 513, Venice on Vine, Cafe de Wheels, Moerlein, Lucy Blue, Urban Gill, Kaze and Street Pops.

The main stage lineup includes:

  • 11am - Joanie Whittaker
  • 12:15pm - Peraza Music Workshop
  • 1:30pm - Hayden Kaye
  • 2:45pm - The Almighty Get Down
  • 4:15pm - Cla-Zels
  • 5:45pm - Golden Shoes
  • 7:15pm - Magnolia Mountain
  • 8:45pm - Wussy

Tender Mercies provides permant housing to about 150 formerly homeless adults with mental illness. Its buildings and residents are located on 12th, Race and Elm streets in Over-the-Rhine.

Taste of OTR is sponsored by John Morrell, PNC Bank, KMK Law, Cincy Events Management, Tradewinds Tea, Mannequin Boutique & Fast Signs.

Organizers say you can secure one of the few remaining food and retail spots still available by contacting casey@cincyeventsmanagement.com.
