Joe D's Bengals Camp Diary: July 26 (Part 2)

GREEN WATCH: A.J. Green watched most of practice on the field in a Bengals hat and a pair of basketball shorts.  He did have a sleeve on his left knee and moved around well, but with a bit of a limp.  Several fans yelled to Green as he left the field to ask how he was and he replied, "I'm doing good."

CATCHING ON: I still haven't seen Tyler Eifert drop a pass.  Not at training camp, not at rookie camp, not at mini camp.  Granted, most of the passes are loosely covered and without full pads, but he has made some nice grabs in traffic.  Cobi Hamilton continues to impress.  One fan yelled from the stands, "Cobi, you're the best draft pick in Bengals history!" A bit extreme, but he is big, fast and plays the game with confidence.

DRE'S DAY: Dre Kirkpatrick has a bounce in his step.  It's hard not to notice how excited the 2012 first round pick is to be healthy and competing.  He signed and stopped for pictures with fans after practice and told one fan, "you don't even know how much this motivates me."

STAR POWER: Rumors on the sidelines that singers R. Kelly and Robin Thicke stopped by Bengals practice.  The Macy's Music Festival is this weekend at Paul Brown Stadium.  I didn't see either, but one fan did show me an autograph he says he got from Thicke.

NEXT PRACTICE: Bengals are back on the field Saturday 3-5pm at PBS.
