FULL PADS: Some good chatter in the Bengals locker room about the first day of full pads this afternoon. Most of it surrounded the one-on-one, hit or be hit "Oklahoma Drill" on the schedule for this afternoon.
Mohamed Sanu on Oklahoma Drill: "(I'm a) physical guy. Love contact. So, gotta' make sure you get in there...you make a boom."
Andrew Whitworth: "(It's) similar to 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 and you're putting them in a situation where they get one shot. How focused, how technique sound can they be."
PICKLE JUICE: Marvin Jones has a new way to fight cramps: drinking pickle juice. He has two pickle jars in his locker after it was recommended by the training staff. Says he drank half a jar the night before Saturday's practice and didn't cramp up. Word is, Dontay Moch is a pickle juice drinker as well.
GOO-AR-D INTERVIEW: Rookie wide receiver Tyrone Goard (EKU) is a good interview with a different view on how to get noticed. He says he hopes the coaches notice his blocking.
"Anythime I get a chance to put my hands on a DB and block him, that's what I'll do. I don't care if I have to take him out of bounds or back to the locker room, I'm going to block."
More from Goard: "I'm doing whatever coach asks me to do, if he wants me to go out there and go against James Harrison, I'm going to do it."
BEST QUOTE: Asked Marvin Jones what kind of splash he wants to make this season: "A huge splash. A tidal wave."
