An area man went to the police to report a traffic crash only to later end up behind bars himself.
The Flint Journal reports the 36-year-old went into a police station on Friday following a hit-and-run. During the police investigation, detectives ran the man's name through their statewide computer network.
What came back was an outstanding warrant in another county and information that the man was behind on his child support payments.
That man, whom police have not yet identified, was booked into the Flint City Jail.
