CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Monfort Heights mom is jailed on domestic violence charges after a scuffle with Cincinnati police Tuesday night.

According to the police report, witnesses observed Deacsa Brown, 24, grabbing her 3-year-old son by the arm and punching him three times in the back and ribs in a parking lot on Colerain Avenue in Mt. Airy.

Police say when they attempted to talk to Brown about the incident, she became argumentative and denied hitting the child.

Police say Brown wouldn't give them her son's name. Officers say when they tried to arrest her, she pushed them away.

She is in the Hamilton County jail on a Domestic Violence charge. She is set to appear in court at 9:00 a.m.
