Local animal shelter badly needs food & homes for dogs

GEORGETOWN, OH (FOX19) - An animal shelter says they are overcrowded and in desperate need of food and homes for their animals.

The Brown County Animal Shelter is overbooked after taking in some dogs from a hoarding case.

According to the shelter's Facbeook page, they have 42 dogs housed in a 32 kennel facility and the pets need homes.

The shelter also says they are very low on canned puppy food and adult dog food.

The shelter stressed in their posts that they want to avoid euthanasia, as they have been able to avoid it for the last two years.
