CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A 22-year-old traveled almost 300 miles on his skateboard to prove one can do anything if they set their mind to it.
Kyle Ayling began his journey in his hometown of Dyer, Indiana, located about 30 minutes outside of downtown Chicago.
He says he averaged about 70-75 miles per day and made it all the way to Cincinnati in just five days.
"The main purpose of the whole trip was to raise awareness about if you can see anything up here, you can make it manifest in the real world," Ayling told FOX19 gesturing towards his mind. "I want people to know that you can do anything you set your mind to."
He has been skateboarding for 11 years.
Until this most recent adventure, Ayling's longest trip was 12 miles to Munster, Indiana and back.
He says he'd like to attempt the current world record for longest journey on a skateboard, which according to the Guinness Book of World Records, was 7,550 miles from Switzerland to China.
