Multiple people injured after Whitewater Twp. crash

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Multiple people were injured Friday after an accident in Whitewater Township.

Deputies say 18-year-old Tammaria Zink, of Cincinnati, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer eastbound on Harrison Avenue with three female juvenile passengers around 5 p.m.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Zink's vehicle went left of the center lines while going around a right curve and hit an oncoming Lexus, driven by 44-year-old Lynn Massey of Cleves. It happened near the 8300 block of Harrison Avenue.

Massey also had an infant male passenger in the car.

The impact of the crash left Massey trapped in the vehicle, eventually coming to a rest against a guardrail.

The Chevrolet Blazer overturned, and a backseat juvenile passenger not wearing a seatbelt was thrown to the rear of the SUV and partially ejected.

Massey was extricated from her car and was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC). She is listed in stable condition. Zink was also taken to UCMC and is listed in good condition.

Two juvenile passengers in the Blazer as well as the infant in the Lexus were taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where they are listed in good condition and expected to be released.

The third female passenger not wearing a seatbelt was also taken to Children's, listed in stable condition.

Deputies say drugs and alcohol are not factors in the crash. Everyone else involved in the accident was wearing a seatbelt.

Zink was cited for traveling left of the center lines.

The Whitewater Township Fire Department, along with ambulances from Harrison, Colerain Township and Green Township responded to the scene.
