Man charged with murder in Hamilton toddler death case

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Dylan Tompkins has been charged with murder after a 1-year-old child died in early August.

Authorities responded to 15 Marlou Drive in Hamilton, Ohio on August 2 following reports of an unresponsive child. 

Emergency crews arriving on the scene transported the 1-year-old, Bryce Pelfrey, to Fort Hamilton Hospital. The child was then flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. 

Pelfrey died two days later from his injuries.

Dylan Tompkins was initially charged with child endangering following the incident.  A Butler County grand jury charged Tompkins with murder on Wednesday.
