CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Hamilton County Coroner has released more information on the death of a 46-year-old man who was badly beaten last summer.

Pat Mahaney, who died on July 12, 2013, at the age of 46, was assaulted on Aug. 11, 2012 in North College Hill.

Six teenagers were arrested in the case, ranging in ages 13 to 14. Police say the teens told them they beat Mahaney because they were bored and looking for something to do.

Mahaney was released from the hospital within a couple of weeks after the attack.

The Hamilton County Coroner said on Monday that Mahaney died of natural causes that were not the result of the physical effects from the beating.

In response, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters commented in a statement, "...Based upon that report, I consider the matter closed. No additional charges will be filed concerning this incident."
