Man arrested on unrelated charges after OTR shooting

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

A convicted felon was arrested on unrelated charges after a shooting in Over-The-Rhine on Thursday night.

It happened on Vine Street, near 15th, around 10:30 p.m.

According to police at the scene, a man in his 20s was shot five times on Vine Street, near 15th.

He was taken to UC Medical Center for surgery. Officers on the scene believe he will survive. His identity has not been released.

After the shooting, police say many people ran away from the scene.

They caught up with William Cunningham. Cunningham was arrested by police for carrying a concealed weapon and having a weapon under a disability.

He's not been charged in the shooting. He's being housed in the Hamilton County jail on a $75,000 bond.
