CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A group of U.S. Army veterans who served in Berlin, Germany during the Cold War reunited in Cincinnati on Friday.
It was the first biennial reunion for the Berlin Redlegs Fraternal Association, a group that promotes friendship and camaraderie among veterans.
"We served in the Berlin Brigade artillery units. We have members from 1963-1994," explained Berlin Redlegs member Jim Gronefeld.
The group kicked off the weekend by marching across the Roebling Suspension Bridge from Covington to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
A memorial ceremony was then held at the Berlin Wall Memorial where participants placed a wreath at the memorial.
