CINCINNATI (AP) - Visitors to the Cincinnati Zoo's jungle trails exhibit now can swing like apes and balance like other primates as they follow the trails.
Recent additions to the exhibit include interactive elements and digital media sources that allow humans to get an idea of what their non-human counterparts do to survive in the jungle. The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/19Nf7DJ) reports that the interactive elements include areas where visitors can swing from bars of different heights and balance by walking on suspended ropes.
Visitors also can experience the cooperation of a primate troop by working together to push a stone through a maze with sticks.
The final element to be installed this month involves sway bars that will give visitors a sense of what it's like for an orangutan to climb through trees.
