WEST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - A tenant of a West Price Hill apartment building alerted fire crews of a blaze by knocking on the firehouse door.
The fire broke out in the 4500 block of Glenway Avenue around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke coming from the back of a two-story, 12 unit building. Heavy smoke was reported in the hallways.
Several tenants were evacuated. Crews were able to control the fire in less than 15 minutes.
Firefighters said that a working smoke detector alerted the occupant of the fire. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Damage was estimated at $15,000.
