FT. WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

Crews are at the scene of a motorcycle accident in Ft. Wright on Thursday morning.

Police say that a two-vehicle accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. at Kentucky 17 and Highland Pike involving a black Chevy Cavalier and a moped.

Authorities say that the a female driver ran into a moped waiting at a stoplight.

The driver of the moped was taken to UC Medical Center and the driver of the Cavalier was taken to Saint Elizabeth Edgewood.

Police are unsure if the moped driver was wearing a helmet and say that only one red light was on the moped, making it a possibility that the driver of the vehicle could not see it well.

The crash is currently under investigation.

FOX19 has a crew on the scene and will continue to update this story as more details become available.
