Construction continues on Kings Island's new coaster

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Construction is underway for the new Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island.

Steel supports for the track, ride station and train transfer and maintenance area have arrived, according to Kings Island Public Relations Manager Don Helbig. In addition, the first piece of track has been installed.

A total length of 4,124 feet, Banshee will be the longest inverted roller coaster in the world. The ride is set to open in April 2014.
