ALEXANDRIA, KY (FOX19) - Police have arrested a suspect following a bank robbery in Alexandria, Ky.
Officers arrested 38-year-old Joseph Lloyd Lowery on Saturday afternoon without incident. Lowery had been on the loose since August 16.
The robbery happened at the Bank of Kentucky on Alexandria Pike (US 27) just before 2:30 p.m. on August 16.
Authorities say Lowery entered the bank wearing a dark colored hoodie, sand colored camouflage cargo pants, black and white gym shoes and a dark colored flat bill.
Police say he did not show a weapon but threatened to have one in his possession.
Lowery then fled north on US 27 in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix with an undetermined amount of cash. Police say the vehicle was later recovered at the nearby County Market grocery store.
Police served the arrest warrant on Saturday afternoon. Lowery was found at his girlfriend's apartment.
Lowery is being held at the Campbell Co. Detention Center on a $200 thousand bond.
