Kentucky town remembers family lost in fire

BROOKSVILLE, KY (FOX19) - The memory of five family members lost in a July fire were commemorated at a benefit in Brooksville on Saturday.

The City of Brooksville honored all emergency personnel and community members who were involved at the July 13th house fire that claimed five lives of the Doss family in a Cruise-In Benefit.

A variety of activities were available at the event, including face painting, split the pot, corn hole, silent auctions, a dunking booth and quarter auctions.

Balloons were released at the recognition ceremony in memory of the Doss family.

A memorial will be held for the Doss family on Sunday at the Bracken County High School Gymnasium at 4:00 p.m.
