CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Three local residents and a local non-profit will be honored during the 27th Annual Parents of Murdered Children, Inc. (POMC) National Conference on Saturday, August 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Robert and Charlotte Hullinger and Ken Czillinger will each receive the POMC Empty Shoe Award. The three individuals are co-founders of POMC, which was established in 1978 after the murder of the Hullingers' 19-year-old daughter, Lisa Hullinger.

The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of Crime Stoppers will also be honored and will receive the POMC National Service Award. This award recognizes individuals, businesses, and schools that support the philosophy of POMC. Gene Farrera, the current chairperson, will accept the award on the organizations behalf.
