CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A tease for the upcoming TQL Urban Race was presented afternoon of August 16 to hundreds of employees, race partners, and sponsors at TQL's corporate headquarters in Union Township.
The course had employees hurdling over blockades, climbing over junkyard cars onto 20-foot long shipping containers, climbing back down to the ground on a huge cargo net, and then finishing off with a tire run and a sprint to the finish.
The event's obstacles are only a sample of the TQL Urban Race on Saturday, October 12 at Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine. Runners will travel approximately 3.5 miles through the streets of downtown facing 12 obstacles along the way, including a more-than-300-step stair climb to the top of Paul Brown Stadium.
The race is being managed by the Flying Pig Marathon and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Reds Community Fund and the Marvin Lewis Community Fund.
All individuals over the age of 16 are encouraged to register for the event.
