23-year-old found dead in bed, police await autopsy

RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -

Police are awaiting autopsy results after a 23-year-old man who was found dead in bed.

The Ripley County Sheriff's office responded to a home in Morris, Indiana on Saturday evening around 7:40.

A female homeowner called authorities after she found her 23-year-old husband unresponsive in bed.

Authorities arriving on the scene reported that the male was deceased. The scene was secured and the coroner was called.

The victim was taken to Dearborn County Hospital for autopsy where results are pending.

Police say that there were no signs of suspicious activity. However, alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.

The victim's name is being withheld.

The Ripley County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident.
