Beef Recall

Fifty-nine-thousand pounds of ground beef sold in seven states recalled

A Wisconsin meat packing company has recalled nearly 60-thousand pounds of ground beef, fearing it might be contaminated with E. coli bacteria. Stores are being asked to remove meat coming from the Packerland Packing Company. Packerland issued a recall after internal testing showed beef that was shipped could have been contaminated. The general manager of the company says they're erring "on the side of being overly cautious." Consumers concerned about their beef are being told to take it back to stores to see if it's part of the recall.

The beef was sold in Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.
