Ivan Death Count Now 49

Hurricane Ivan blamed for more US deaths

Hurricane Ivan is being blamed for three more deaths in Florida. Officials say the three people died from natural causes that they are attributing to Ivan. It raises the number of deaths in the state following the storm to 19 -- and the nationwide count to 49.

Meanwhile, relief workers continue to fan out across Florida and Alabama. They're handing out ice, water and meals to weary victims who face another day of digging through debris. The storm also continues to cause problems over parts of the Northeast.

Homes are being evacuated today in parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as floods from the remnants of Ivan continue to swell the Delaware River. The river is expected to crest this evening.
