Three adults displaced in an evening apartment fire
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
An evening fire has displaced three adults living in an apartment located in the Coryville neighborhood on Thursday.
Firefighters responded to 2720 Van Street after dispatchers received a report of an apartment building fire around 8:30 p.m. the evening of August 22.
First responders witnessed light smoke from the first floor of a two-story brick building. Firefighters were able to enter the building and aggressively combat and contain the fire to the kitchen within 15 minutes.
Investigators say that the fire was caused by cooking sheets placed in a broiler drawer under an older gas range.
No one was injured in the fire and damages are estimated to be at $15,000.
