Two fallen soldiers will be honored at the CARSTAR Annual Golf Outing on August 26, 2013.
Jim Miller and John Prazynski, along with SFC Mike Schlitz will be honored at the TPC River's Bend course in Maineville.
Spc. James H. Miller, IV, died in Ramadi, Iraq in 2005 from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503d Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea.
Marine Lance Corporal Taylor B. Prazynski, 20, of Fairfield, Ohio died on May 9, 2005 while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Karmah, Iraq.
The patriotic event will feature a flag jump, along with a live rendition of the National Anthem and a flyover by B-25 bomber. The golf outing is $150 per person and includes golf, golf cart, practice range balls, a box lunch, dinner and locker room use.
Proceeds benefit the Fisher House Foundation, a charity that provides a home away from home for military families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. The shotgun start is at 11:00 a.m.
