The submarine named after Cincinnati during a US war period is in the Queen City for a brief visit this weekend.
Components of the USS Cincinnati, a Cold War nuclear powered submarine, are on display at the Mehring and Main Street near the Great American Ballpark.
The USS Cincinnati was welcomed back on Saturday with a special ceremony that highlighted its contributions in combat.
Officials say that the submarine was commissioned in 1978 and decommissioned in 1996. Since then city leaders have tried to bring the submarine to Cincinnati.
