HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A driver and his passenger were injured when their Jeep SUV rolled down a hill in Van Buren State Park late Saturday night.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, the driver, Jeffrey Brown, and his passenger Cami Brown, both from rural McComb, were on a trail not approved for public travel around 11 p.m. Saturday.

The vehicle became stuck. Mr. Brown tried to free it, but the Jeep rolled down a hill, coming to a rest on its top.

Emergency crews were unable to reach the vehicle due to the terrain.

Members of the Allen Township Volunteer Department were able to locate both driver and passenger by checking the area on foot.

Both Jeffrey and Cami Brown were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment. Sheriff's say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
