CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Crews are investigating after a fire was discovered in the trash chutes of a downtown apartment building.
Firefighters were called to the 900 block of Adams Crossing just before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Dispatch received several calls reporting a fire in the apartment building.
Crews arriving on the scene reported light smoke on several floors. Firefighters discovered the fire in trash chutes that lead to all four floors.
Fire companies were able to quickly extinguish the fire, containing the fire to the trash chute dumpster.
The Cincinnati Fire Department Investigation Unit is investigating the incident. The cause is still undetermined.
Damage has been estimated at $500. No injuries were reported.
