Joe Danneman named FOX19's new sports director

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

FOX19 is proud to announce that veteran sports anchor and Northern Kentucky native Joe Danneman has been named our new sports director.

Joe started his career at FOX19 in 2001 after he graduated from Syracuse University, starting as a news writer. Joe worked his way up at the station to news producer, sports producer and, eventually, sports/news reporter starting in 2004.

Joe left for more anchoring experience in 2009 and worked as the sports director at WFIE-TV, the Raycom Media station in Evansville, Indiana.

Joe returned to the Queen City in 2011 to be a sports anchor for us.

The Cincinnati area is Joe's hometown. He grew up across the river in Northern Kentucky and graduated from Covington Catholic High School.

Joe is replacing current FOX19 Sports Director Brian Giesenschlag who has accepted a job with FOX Sports Ohio.
