CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The University of Cincinnati will be recognized for a prestigious award in Washington D.C. on October 7 by a non-profit organization.
The Public University of the Year Award will be presented to UC at the National Press Club by The Washington Center. According to Mike Smith, president of the Washington Center, UC is a leader within the academic community.
"The University of Cincinnati is a shining example of how universities are taking the traditional curriculum model and incorporating study-away internship experiences that teach self awareness, community engagement and life-long leadership skills," said Smith.
Zach Osborne, program director of UC's Division of Professional Practice and Experiential Learning (ProPEL), will accept the award on behalf of the university.
