(FOX19) - The Campbell County Coroner's Office has identified a man who collapsed and died while jogging on the Purple People Bridge Friday afternoon.
Authorities say the man was about halfway across the bridge when he fell around 5 p.m. Other people who saw him collapse performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital
The man was about 40, wearing only dark blue jogging shorts and Nike shoes. Authorities say he had scars on his left shoulder and abdomen and wasn't carrying a wallet.
The Campbell County Coroner says that the man has been identified. However, police are waiting to release the jogger's name pending family notification.
