CAN'T MISS VIDEO: Last-second play wins game for Texas high school
Derrick Dick returned a squib kick for a touchdown to win the game on Friday night.
The first week of high school football kicked off for teams across Texas on Friday night, but it was the kickoff at the end of one game that has the sports world abuzz.
The A&M Consolidated Tigers were taking on the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs in Copperas Cove. Copperas Cove kicked a field goal late in the fourth quarter to take a 41-38 lead with one second left.
On the ensuing kick-off, the Bulldawgs elected to squib the ball. Tiger Brandon Jackon fielded the kick, then lateraled to Derrick Dick, who spun and juked away from several Copperas Cove defenders before reversing the field. The Tigers were able to set up a wall for Dick, who dashed into the end zone for a touchdown, giving the Tigers a dramatic 44-41 victory.
The miraculous return was ESPN's Top Play on Monday.
Our sympathies go out to the Bulldawgs kicker, who was destroyed by a block about ten seconds into the video.
