Olive Garden serves lunch to first responders on Labor Day

(FOX19) - Olive Garden delivered a free Hospitaliano! lunch to thank community heroes working this Labor Day.

The restaurants honored neighborhood fire stations, police departments and hospital emergency rooms Monday for their dedicated service, including those in the Tri-State.

This was the 12th year Olive Garden has delivered the free meals.

"We do it to basically give back to the community. We like helping out as we're a family-style restaurant. It's just something we take pride in," said Olive Garden server Jordan Drankchak.

More than 800 restaurants across the country delivered and served the free lunches this Labor Day.
