Victim identified in deadly Over-the-Rhine shooting

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

Police have identified the victim involved in a fatal Over-the-Rhine shooting.

Ambrose T. Foster, 39, was shot and killed late Monday evening near Race and Liberty streets in Over-the-Rhine.

The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of Race Street. Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several people reported shots fired in the area. 

Suspect information was not immediately available. However police say a late model, white Dodge Charger was spotted leaving the scene at a high speed.

    The officer, who wasn't immediately identified, was run over by a Jeep and fatally injured, authorities say.
