1 injured, driver flees after Camp Washington crash
CAMP WASHINGTON, OH (FOX19) -
Authorities are investigating a crash Tuesday afternoon that left a man in serious condition at the hospital.
It happened in the 3600 block of Spring Grove Avenue just before 2 p.m.
Cincinnati Police say Eugene Rector, 33, was riding a Suzuki 1200 motorcycle southbound on Spring Grove Avenue. Latonya Jones, 25, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban on Geringer Street attempting to head north on Spring Grove Avenue.
Police say Jones failed to yield the right away and Rector's motorcycle hit Jones' vehicle. Jones reportedly fled the scene following the crash.
Rector was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries where he remains in serious condition.
Police say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Jones was later located by police and was not injured. Police say criminal charges are pending regarding her involvement in the crash.
The Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and any witnesses to the accident are asked to call (513) 352-2514.
