Report: Brando's ashes scattered in Tahiti and Death Valley
Marlon Brando's ashes have been scattered in Tahiti and California's Death Valley. The late actor's son, Miko, tells the Los Angeles Times Death Valley was a place his father cherished. The ashes of actor Wally Cox -- a friend of Brando's -- were also poured in the desert during the same ceremony. Cox died in 1973. The newspaper says actors Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and Sean Penn attended a Hollywood memorial service for Brando, who died of lung failure on July first. The service was held at the home of producer Mike Medavoy. Family members and friends say Brando lost 85 pounds in the final months of his life and he needed a portable oxygen tank to aid his breathing.
