Man in court following Cleves SWAT standoff

(FOX19) - A man appeared in court Monday following a standoff with police in Cleves over the weekend.

Scott Lee, 46, was arrested early Sunday morning after his girlfriend called police claiming he held a gun to her head.

It was reported around 4:00 a.m. in the 7800 block of Bridgetown Road. According to police, the victim stated the incident happened when she tried to leave his house.

Lee reportedly fired a shot and hit her in the face with a gun.

According to court documents, the victim got away in her car and returned to the scene with police to locate Lee.

Upon their arrival, Lee barricaded himself inside the home. His girlfriend reportedly told police that Lee was possibly dangerous with several weapons inside.

Police communicated with Lee for several hours before he eventually surrendered around 9:30 a.m.

Lee has been charged with inducing panic, felonious assault and weapons while under disability. His bond was set at $60,000 during his arraignment on Monday.
