Kings Island recognized for "Best Kids' Area in the World"

MASON, OH (FOX19) - For the 13th consecutive year, Kings Island amusement park received recognition for the "Best Kids' Area in the World" at Amusement Today's annual Golden Ticket Awards held Saturday night in Santa Cruz, California.

The Planet Snoopy kids' area at Kings Island features an elaborate collection of PEANUTS-themed rides and attractions for every age including four roller coasters, a live stage show, and meet-and-greet opportunities with PEANUTS characters.

The Beast ranked as the eighth-best wooden roller coaster.

The Golden Ticket Awards are the amusement industry's equivalent of the Oscars, with amusement park owners and managers, ride manufacturers, and other industry officials gathering to salute the industry's top parks. Winners were selected by amusement park enthusiasts, voting from around the world.

Kings Island is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that is listed for trading on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "FUN."
