Krohn Conservatory unveils new fall exhibit

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Parks Krohn Conservatory is unveiling a new exhibit for the 2013 Fall Show.

"Mitate: A Japanese Garden" will showcase Japanese plants, Bonsai trees, A Koi pond, and a small Japanese tea house.

The name Mitate (me-TAH-tay) is a Japanese expression that means "to look again" or "to see with new eyes." Krohn Conservatory hopes to share an appreciation for the past and preserve tradition.

The highlights of the exhibits includes hundreds of traditional fall blooming chrysanthemums, the unofficial national flower of Japan and subject of the emperor's Imperial Seal.

The Fall Show will last September 7 – October 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday.
