Toddler dies after becoming trapped in car window

GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

A three-year-old died Sunday evening in Gonzales after becoming trapped in a partially-open car window.

According to reports, the child was hanging by the neck from the window when he was found by adults.

The three-year-old was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators were told the boy had wandered out of the house without the knowledge of the adults inside.

The child's name has not been released.

The incident happened in the 43000 block of Hwy. 931.

An investigation is ongoing.
