MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) - Officials with The Christ Hospital broke ground Monday on a new outpatient center in Montgomery expected to open in 2015.
The three-story, 78,000-square-foot facility will serve as Christ Hospital's first non-hospital location to provide radiation therapy for cancer patients.
"We are breaking ground today on our newest Outpatient Center so that we can bring exceptional healthcare to this area and remain accessible and convenient to those in need, especially the residents of Montgomery," said Mike Keating, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. "This will be the largest of the outpatient centers that we have built to date, providing economic growth in the form of jobs and allowing the community to receive a variety of medical services in one convenient location."
Officials say a number of services will be offered at the new $52 million building, including Ohio Heart and Vascular, orthopaedics, urology, ear, nose and throat, primary care, hematology and oncology.
The Christ Hospital Outpatient Center is being developed by Brandicorp, with Duke Realty serving as contractor.
The site is located just north of I-275 at 11140 Montgomery Road and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015.
